Flare gas flowmeters
Posted on: 14 September 2007The flare gas flowmeter of Fluenta is based on ultrasonic transit time technology. The instrument is using 2 types of ultrasonic signals. The "chirp" signal in combination with enhanced DSP facilitates high performance under difficult circumstances. Like low pressure, high velocities, etc.
There is no other flowmeter with equivalent performance for flare gas applications. See also the next video:

Tantalum flowmeter for Hydrochloric acid
Posted on: 21 February 2005Recently a DN50 Coriolis massflowmeter of Heinrichs was delivered to a chemical company in the Rotterdam area. This multinational has had installed Coriolis massflowmeters of other manufacturers in a Hydrochloric acid application. One instrument lasted 2 months, another did a "good" job by staying in operation for almost half a year.
Obviously, even that was not satisfactory. So, an instrument with Tantalum wetted parts was delivered. Tantalum is known as a material that is resistant to many corrosive fluids, and also in this case, a permanent solution of the problem could be provided.
